What is reincarnation?

It is a philosophical or religious concept that the non-physical essence of a living being begins a new life in a different physical manifestation after a being ceases to live. In most beliefs involving reincarnation, the soul is seen as immortal and the only thing that ceases to exist is the body. Upon death, the soul undergoes a journey where it then inhabit a new human body (or animal/plant) to live again.

Religion

There are several religions that support the concept of reincarnation. Hinduism and Buddhism are two major religions that incorporate it. There are some other faiths that have made cases for it as well however such claims are not widely held by a majority of their followers.

Science

Although it is not widely accepted by the scientific and medical community, there are several acclaimed individuals who have made strong cases for the possibility of reincarnation.

Theories

The religions that support reincarnation do provide some guidance on how the process is supposed to work, however, there are some other theories as well which are worth exploring.
